My Approach
Disputes are inevitable, particularly during the long term exchanges of goods and services typical of construction projects.
Disputes test leadership, vision, and values.
Disputes can be functional and constructive when managed quickly, thoughtfully, and well, but deeply destructive if mismanaged or ignored. Dysfunctional interaction cannot be allowed to become normalized.
What is required instead is active, continuous engagement in a well-designed and managed dispute resolution process- before, during, and particularly after a dispute arises.
